The Department for Business and Trade has launched a landmark consultation to bring umbrellas under stricter regulation, promising contractors better pay protection and an end to forced engagement models but Crawford Temple says the scope of measures being proposed is wide-ranging and will require careful scrutiny by all affected parties.
